Terms of Service

BAD WEATHER


Our tours are carried out rain or shine. Bad weather is not grounds to cancel and expect a refund. If you cancel at the last minute because of bad weather, our Cancellation Policy will apply.

In the event of severe storm warnings (especially in the Cinque Terre), we may need to change the service for your wellbeing and the safety of our drivers and vehicles. Alternatives will be discussed then and there.

BOOKING

When you make a booking with Dreaming Tuscany Tours, you enter into a contract with us and agree to be bound by our Terms of Service.

CHANGES TO YOUR BOOKING


For any changes to your booking, please advise us in writing. If we can accommodate the change, we will modify your booking and send you a revised confirmation. It is your responsibility to follow up with us to ensure your requests were registered (especially in high season when we are overwhelmed.)

Regarding changes to the number of passengers:

  • If you increase the number of passengers, the rate will change to reflect the applicable rate.

  • If you reduce the number of passengers with less than 48 hours’ notice or if not all participants present themselves on the day of service, you will owe the amount for the original number of passengers booked, including any pre-booked options such as lunch or wine tastings.

DURATION OF SERVICE/ADDITIONAL TIME


Your service begins at the time indicated on your confirmation, even if you are late. (This does not apply if your ship is late coming into port. In that case, we will compensate for time lost, within reason.)

Your service lasts up to the stated duration. If you choose to end your tour early, you are not entitled to a reduction.

We factor in a buffer of time for the return to port to allow for traffic and other delays beyond our control. This might mean you arrive back at the ship a bit early. This result of our prudence would not result in a reduction in the rate.

Any time clocked by your driver after the stated duration of the service, whether at your request or as a result of your actions, will be billed at 60 Euro per hour per vehicle.

EXCLUSIONS


Food, beverages, entrance fees, and gratuities are not included in the rate unless expressly stated.

IF YOUR SHIP DOES NOT DOCK OR THE PORT CHANGES

If your ship does not come into port, your service will be annulled. If you’ve paid in advance, you will refunded in full.

If your ship will be docking at a different port, please let us know asap and we will evaluate together whether it’s possible to still carry out your tour or some mutually-agreed-upon alternative.

LIABILITY


Dreaming Tuscany Tours is not liable for loss or damage of belongings, injury, or death. The company is not responsible for any injury, loss, delay, or inconvenience caused by force majeure (such as wars, floods, unusually severe weather, acts of god, etc.) or other events (such as strikes, road closures or traffic jams) which are beyond our control or which are not preventable by reasonable care by us.

We strongly recommend that you arrange trip insurance to cover cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances.

OUR RIGHT TO MAKE CHANGES


Dreaming Tuscany Tours reserves the right to make changes to your itinerary in the event we need to get the schedule back on track. These decisions will be made in the best interest of the client and out of respect for any scheduled appointments made on your behalf.

We take our responsibility to return you to the ship on time very seriously. As such, it might be necessary to head back to port before all items on an agenda are carried out. No refunds will be given if all the items on your itinerary are not covered.

PAYMENT MODES

  • 
Cash IN EURO at the end of the service is the default mode of payment. Paying in cash saves you 10% and helps us greatly from an operating standpoint.

  • Paying by credit card or through Paypal can be arranged. Different rates apply.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR ACCURACY OF INFORMATION


You are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided when you make a booking. We do our best to ensure all details are inserted correctly in our booking system but we are only human! Please double-check your confirmation and advise us of any errors.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR DRIVER


Our tours are carried out with an English-speaking driver.

Drivers can give commentaries as you’re traveling and when you are stopped in the vehicle but they CANNOT ACCOMPANY YOU once you leave the vehicle. This is the law in Italy.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • For cancellations received with less than 48 hours’ notice, a 100% cancellation fee applies.

  • No-shows
 also incur a 100% cancellation penalty.

  • A 50% fee applies to cancellations received between 14 days and 48 hours before the service.

  • -There is no penalty for cancellations made with at least 14 days’ notice. (You will still owe us for anything prepurchased on your behalf.)

The cancellation penalty will be applied to all items on your confirmation. Any items we have prepaid on your behalf will be reimbursable to us at 100%, regardless of when you cancel or why.

You will receive a notice of cancellation once your request has been processed. If you don’t receive the notice, it is your responsibility to follow up with us.

Complaints and Legal Disputes

Complaints must be made in writing within 12 days of the date of service by using the contact form on this website. We will follow up to investigate your dissatisfaction and do what we can to put things right. In exchange, you agree not to post any negative comments on any forum such as TripAdvisor or Cruise Critic before talking it through with us.

Contracts with Dreaming Tuscany Tours are governed by Italian law and in case of a dispute that we can not settle amicably, jurisdiction is conferred to the Italian courts.
